Legrand’s Matt Crunden Honoured in CIBSE Digital Engineering Hall of Fame
Matt Crunden, Training and BIM Manager at Legrand UK & Ireland, has been honoured in the inaugural Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers’ (CIBSE’s) Society of Digital Engineering Hall of Fame, for his commitment to encouraging digitisation across the electrical industry.

Awards were presented at the Build2Perform Live event in November, and Matt was recognised in particular for his focussed liaison with the manufacturing side of the industry, alongside his continued provision of unbiased insight and opinion that has informed the creation of many of CIBSE’s Product Data Templates (PDTs).
Matt started fostering relationships with CIBSE through his work with the BIM4M2 manufacturing group and BEAMA whilst organising structured product information for members via PDTs. Following this, Matt joined CIBSE’s Digital Engineering steering group, which involves members looking at digital themes across the built environment. The group has since created and launched the Society of Digital Engineering (SDE).
The Hall of Fame, which was launched by CIBSE’s SDE and is in its inaugural year, aims to honour people who are actively involved and interested in digitising industry and have been instrumental in promoting CIBSE’s digitisation work.

As well as working for Legrand, Matt has repeatedly worked towards the benefit of the whole electrical industry rather than just for his company’s areas of expertise. Matt is a valued member of our team and has been a great support so far.”
