Flexible control for prestige Bezier penthouse

London is famed for its prestige residential properties and is home to some of the most exclusive addresses in the world. But when it comes to luxury apartments, they don’t come much more special than Penthouse 127 at Tudorvale Properties Ltd’s Bezier Development.

A stunning, three-bedroom duplex apartment on the 14th and 15th floors of the landmark development, Penthouse 127 boasts 2,500 ft2 of interior space with a 1,500 ft2 wrap-around balcony offering panoramic views of central London. With a designer interior and bespoke finishes, such an exceptional home required an exceptional lighting system and Tudorvale turned to specialist integrator, ValeCraft Audio Visual Ltd, for advice on which system to use. ValeCraft’s recommendation was to deliver cohesion, convenience and ease of operation in a single installation by opting for the Arteor control system and wiring accessories range from Legrand.

Aesthetically convenient

Penthouse 127 has been specified with a variety of functional, feature and mood lighting throughout, providing the end user with the flexibility to create their own ambience via centralised controls, manual switching or pre-set scenes. The MyHOME wall-mounted touch screen controls have been selected to match the mirror white Arteor switches and dimmers from Legrand, all of which offer a contemporary, neutral finish, which has been designed to mirror the general style around the home such as flat screens which are unobtrusive.

Mood lighting throughout the interior is provided by a series of lamps, wall lights and ceiling lights, many of which have been custom-designed to match the aesthetics of pieces of furniture and the overall theme of the interior scheme. Just like the co-ordination of the MyHOME control units and switches, the effect is one of cohesion throughout the apartment.

Flexible control

While Penthouse 127 is still being marketed, the control system offers four pre-set scenes to enable the developer to illustrate MyHOME’s capabilities and run a demo sequence for potential buyers/ investors. All scenes and controls can be operated via MyHOME touch screens or by any iOS device (iPad, iPhone, iPod), either within the apartment or remotely.

Comments Jon Thompson from Tudorvale: “We wanted a lighting installation that would have visual impact while offering a practical home and social environment and the chosen control system offers the same advantages. Legrand’s MyHOME control units look great and are easy to use and the fact that the whole system can also be operated from anywhere on an iPad or iPhone adds both practicality and wow factor. The demo scenes have been installed to meet our current needs but MyHOME gives us both flexibility and scalability so, whatever the occupier wants at Penthouse 127, ValeCraft will be able to adapt the system accordingly.”
