Legrand has seen its Synergy modern silver switches and sockets used throughout the UK’s first Adagio aparthotel, which opened in Liverpool city centre at the beginning of April.

Instead of regular rooms, the stylish aparthotel features 126 fully equipped studio and two room apartments. It has been developed within the fabric of the former Lewis’ department store – an iconic listed building on Liverpool’s Lawton Street, which is just a five minute stroll from the world famous Albert Dock.

Legrand’s Synergy modern wiring accessories were used following a presentation to the project contractor, The Smith Group.

Chris McPartland, senior contracts manager of Imtech Smith, said: “Legrand’s Synergy modern products are designer accessories in every way. I was impressed by their look and feel, and was certain that they wouldn’t just sit comfortably within the interior design scheme, but add to it.”

Caroline Boden, marketing manager for Legrand’s wiring devices business, said: “The Synergy decorative range was designed with the intention of creating a choice of wiring accessories to meet any style and design requirements and so to have won this project for exactly that reason is particularly rewarding.”

Legrand’s Synergy modern range features anthracite interiors, matching metal rockers, hidden screws and slim contoured plates, while a stylish optional 3-light LED display gives the range an instantly recognisable signature look that has proved extremely popular with the hotel industry. Other hotels to have recently installed Synergy include The Savoy and The Zetter Townhouse in London, Sleeperz Hotel in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and the Novotel in Blackfriars, London.

In addition to Synergy modern, Legrand’s Synergy white wiring accessories were chosen for use through the retail and commercial areas of the Lawton Street redevelopment, while its consumer units have been used throughout the aparthotel.

Adagio aparthotels, which is part of Accor Hotels, has aparthotels in major cities across Europe, including Paris, Brussels, Rome and Munich. For more information visit www.adagio-city.com.
